Call for papers: ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING IN THE DIGITAL AND SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRY ERA.
The introduction of new technologies, including the Additive Manufacturing, is playing a key role in the current green and digital transition of European industry, with a view to achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.
Guest editors: • Jon Iñaki Arrizubieta Arrate PhD, Associate professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao, University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. • Aitzol Lamikiz Mentxaka PhD, Full professor at the Faculty of Engineering of Bilbao, University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU.
With this call for papers we would like to present our intention to dedicate a DYNA Journal issue to original research papers presenting results and experiences in the field of Additive Manufacturing in all its variants, with the aim of disseminating new knowledge to the scientific and industrial community.
The fields covered are those related to additive manufacturing machines and techniques, considering the whole process cycle: design, simulation, manufacturing process, equipment and systems development, finishing methods, validation, and certification.
Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to: Design and simulation - Design for additive manufacturing. - Topological optimization. - Design of heterogeneous structures, multi-material components, lattice structures, etc. Additive manufacturing processes - Development of additive manufacturing processes. - Hybrid processes based on additive manufacturing and others. - Simulation of the process. - Monitoring and control of the process. Additive manufacturing of components of different materials - Manufacture of multi-material components. - New processes and materials: biomaterials, composite materials, multi-material applications, etc. Industrial and special applications - Additive manufacturing for industry: aerospace, automotive, energy, etc. - Repair and remanufacturing of components through additive manufacturing. - Other applications of additive manufacturing.
Papers to be submitted must be considered as research in the above fields and meet the requirements set out in the DYNA Journal website (http://www.revistadyna.com/doc/eng/norm_extend.pdf ). It may be written in Spanish, English or both.
Deadline for submission of papers: September 30, 2024.
Send the articles through the web form... https://www.revistadyna.com/submission-of-papers-dii Guidelines, formats and type of presentation are available at the link: https://www.revistadyna.com/guidelines-rules-and-forms Once the article has been accepted through a peer review process, DYNA will request an article processing fee (APC) of 600 €/article. There is also an open access option with an additional fee of 400 €/article. Highlights for authors: 1. Rapid review: 30 calendar days. 2. Optional open access publication. 3. Optional immediate online publication prior to printing (accelerated DOI assignment process). 4. Publication languages: Spanish or English. 5. Audience: 105,000 engineers/researchers.
