    Transforming Manufacturing Before approaching the subject in more detail and in order to maintain the thoroughness of this report, it is worth emphasizing certain things, although already mentioned in the previous section. When we refer to the European industrial fabric, please note Europe shows a very uneven scenario, with de-industrialised regions, regions in the process of recovering productive capacity along with other regions that are world leaders in the manufacturing industry. That is why, readers need to understand that the analyses and recommendations contained herein are made for the EU as a whole in the abstract, even though we are aware that many regions are pioneers in the industrial sector.

    Gijon knowledge Mile Analysis (Ed. Cotec) This paper aims to go a step further, going into the study of local innovation systems. With Milla analysis Gijón Knowledge as Local System of Innovation, a city Asturian has shown great innovation dynamism, we study the performance of this geographical environment and innovation system, describing the agents that compose it, the different relationships established between them, finally offering some suggestions to improve its efficiency.
