ABSTRACT:
One of the main requirements of health and quality, requested for the export of mango, is the elimination of the "fruit fly". This is done by transferring calories to the mango in a hydrothermal treatment process, through the technical knowledge for this purpose, where you can see the mango in a tank with water and temperature and speed conditions for a certain time. Said hydrothermal treatment need of equipment propulsion elements that generate a flow of water, necessary to increase the rate of transfer of hot water to the mangoes. The present research work focuses on the fluid dynamic study of the geometrical configurations of the propellers with the purpose of choosing those that present the best fluid dynamics under different operating regimes. Analyze the dynamic parameters that determine the efficiency of the propeller at different speeds of rotation: specific number of power, specific number of flow and speeds of exit and advance of the propeller. The development of this work is done with the computer tool Ansys - CFX, where it is modeled, part of the hydrothermal treatment system channel of the handle in which the propeller is located, with the three propellers separately in order to compare and select the most efficient.
Keywords: Turbulence, Propeller, Specific number of power, Specific number of flow, Nozzle.
