This study aims to integrate an experimental proposal based on the use of computer simulators and the construction of experimental prototypes as a strategy for teaching physical phenomena in basic education students. It describes the development, implementation and use of free access computer simulators for the design of mechanical parts, electrical and electronic circuits, through the realization of the laboratory practice called, "Robots require electrical circuits". For this study, it was considered to take a random sample of students that will be our active group, which will carry out the computational simulation before making the experimental prototype, and another control group of students, this last group did not carry out the computational simulation, obtaining the following results: the average grade was 86% in the students who carried out computational simulations against 39% of the average grade of the students who did not carry out such computational simulation. It is concluded that the use of free access computational simulators and the construction of experimental prototypes improves the development of the teaching-learning process in the classroom, students were able to demonstrate the relationship between the variables of current, voltage and resistance, through Ohm's Law. Likewise, they were able to identify electricity as a source of energy, where its daily uses are recognized and valued.
