We have compared the development expectations and the applications of additive manufacturing techniques and the current state of the art. We have gathered past researches about the applications of these techniques in different fields, and what were the expectations or new applications and we compared them with the current state of the art. Finally, we made an anylisis about which fields or which media bring the most unrealistic expectations to the public.
