ABSTRACT
In the world, cardiovascular diseases are the main causes of death, occupy first place heart ischemic diseases and heart attack in the second place. In the area of health, electrocardiograms are a useful method for monitoring cardiac activity. In the present work signals from electrocardiograms are characterized with artificial intelligence techniques, specifically using a neuro-fuzzy networks. The signals are analyzed in the time domain by applying neural networks, which are sensitive to the fluctuations of the signals, allowing characterizing the behavior of the heart. The above is the basis for the development of a system that can serve as a tool for the pre-diagnosis of cardiac pathologies.
