ABSTRACT:
This research focuses on the evaluation of the aggressiveness of the front three sedan cars. This, based on different scenarios from run over and the use of a hybrid III dummy (Finite Element Method). The application of this type of numerical simulation allowed obtaining biomechanical parameters, such as: Force, acceleration, velocity, etc. Based on the statistics of the traffic reports in Mexico City, they were used cars that have the greatest impact on traffic accidents. The tool used in the development of accident scenarios was a commercial computer program algorithms finite element. The results focus on injury rates generated in three representative elements, which are: head, thorax and femur. The case studies were conducted on the basis of the regulations established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) and the European New Car Assessment Programme (EuroNCAP). The purpose of this work is to establish the biomechanics of impact to identify the mechanisms of damage following an accident based on the frontal profiles of representative vehicles in the vehicle fleet of the City of Mexico and know the influence of the interfering energy to the human body (which it is the cause of injuries due to the slowdown in organic material difference in speed between those involved in the accident). Similarly identify the inefficiency of the materials used in some cars. Also, the difference between lesion generated modern vehicle design and layout of a previous model vehicle.
