ABSTRACT:
In this article is proposed the combination of probabilistic techniques like the Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and the Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) join to the fuzzy logic theory. These techniques allow to obtain an automatic face recognition system through the gray scale digital images. The proposal allows to compute the needed information starting from the digital image, preserving only the data which describes the face characteristics. Finally, is applied the fuzzy logic theory in the classification stage avoiding data redundancy. The present proposal probes its effectiveness obtaining 86.6% of efficiency as can be observed in the numerical results.
