ABSTRACT: The increasing development of digital educational resources, has led to the search for solutions to contribute to reuse and exchange between teaching professionals and emerging open educational resources. The complexity of existing metadata scheme causes deficiencies in the description of these resources, which leads to localization levels decrease. This article presents a solution to facilitate the cataloging of educational resources, using the paradigm of case-based reasoning. Programming algorithms and the free technologies used in the implementation of this solution guarantee their computational efficiency and technological independence. The solution was validated through a cuasiexperimento and Iadov technique, showing a satisfactory correspondence between the objective and results and high satisfaction of current and potential users. The use of this solution in higher education institutions contribute to the description of educational resources and due to its location.Keywords: cataloging, artificial intelligence, data processing, educational resources, educational technology.
