ABSTRACT:
This study is based on a methodology for calculating water flows, adapting traditional methods to new technologies

Authors introduce a hardware and software development based on free (Arduino and App Inventor) adapted to a traditional water reel. A smartphone is used to collect data in order to calculate the flow and Bluetooth to avoid wires. Gauging point is located through GPS and a report is sent instantly by e-mail, taking advantage of the features found in today's mobile.

This study was designed to minimize the number of workers and hours employed in a capacity with traditional method and the data is received in real time in office.
